Buenos Aires is set to become the first Latin American stop for World Supercross at the Buenos Aires City Grand Prix. World Supercross London’s debut will take place at London Stadium, highlighting the championship’s vision to grow in the UK following successful events at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium in 2022 and Birmingham’s Villa Park in 2023.

“Expanding World Supercross to new cities like Buenos Aires and London marks a defining moment for the championship,” said Tom Burwell, chief executive officer at World Supercross. “The world’s best supercross riders racing in these iconic cities reflects our commitment to growing the sport globally and delivering unforgettable experiences to fans everywhere. Bringing World Supercross to Latin America, with its vibrant culture and passionate supercross fanbase, has been a goal from the moment we took the reins of the championship earlier this year.”

The event in Cape Town, South Africa, will be the first time World Supercross action takes place on the African continent, when DHL Stadium hosts the South African Grand Prix. WSX will work in with local event promoter Showtime Management to produce the event.

“Bringing World Supercross to Cape Town is a game-changer for motorsport in South Africa,” said Tony Feldman, director at Showtime Management. “Our country has a deep passion for sports and regularly hosts world-class entertainment, so this is an ideal addition to our portfolio of major events. DHL Stadium is the perfect setting for the adrenaline-fueled racing and we can’t wait to showcase the energy, excitement, and drama of supercross to South African fans.”

World Supercross is heading back to Australia in 2025, with the action heading to the Gold Coast for the first time at the Cbus Super Stadium. WSX returns to the continent after a doubleheader in Perth in 2024.

“This is the perfect event for the Gold Coast, for tourists and motorsport enthusiasts alike,” said Tim Mander, minister for sport and racing. “This is a global event with huge reach, another fantastic addition to the Queensland sporting calendar and a great opportunity for kids to be inspired to get involved in sport and active recreation.”
