Visit St. Pete–Clearwater has announced a partnership with the hometown Tampa Bay Buccaneers which creates a joint campaign and provides VisitSPC the ability to both reach fans across the greater region and market directly to single-game ticket buyers located outside of Tampa–St. Petersburg.
The partnership is the first between the brands. The agreement includes in-game radio advertising and outside advertising on the team’s flagship radio network, ads and links on the Buccaneers website and app, a custom St. Pete–Clearwater game day fan interaction experience for two Bucs home games and supporting sponsorship of the Bucs Beach Bash presented by Tradewinds Resort on St. Pete Beach.
“Joining the Bucs Krewe provides us with a great opportunity to remind Bucs fans that they have America’s Favorite Beaches right in their backyard and to also speak directly to out-of-market ticket buyers looking to pair their football fun with sun, sand and so much more,” said Steve Grimes, Visit St. Pete–Clearwater chief marketing officer.

Throughout the season, VisitSPC will promote a weekend of “Stay & Play at America’s Favorite Beaches” for fans traveling to watch their football team take on the Bucs at Raymond James Stadium. VisitSPC served as the Official Beaches of the Tampa Bay Lightning this season and have a current partnership with MLS teams Philadelphia Union and FC Cincinnati as well as a sponsorship with the Betfred Rugby League in the U.K.
“This partnership with VisitSPC highlights the great synergy that exists between the power and reach of the Buccaneers brand and the appeal of our award–winning beaches of St. Pete and Clearwater,” said Atul Khosla, Tampa Bay Buccaneers chief commercial officer. “We look forward to working with VisitSPC to showcase all that our great Tampa Bay region has to offer while also providing genuine and unique game day experiences for Krewe members at Raymond James Stadium.”
