Tulsa to Become Official Home of the USA Cycling BMX Racing National Team

USA BMX Headquarters will welcome athletes and coaches

That the USA BMX Headquarters in Tulsa will become the official home base of the USA Cycling BMX Racing National Team to identify, develop and support the next generation of BMX athletes, while expanding opportunities for riders to train and compete at a world-class facility.

USA BMX is opening the doors of its Tulsa headquarters to USA Cycling’s BMX Racing National Team and development athletes for year-round access to training on the track and in the gym. USA Cycling will also work with USA BMX and the USA BMX Foundation to develop coaching programs, helping coaches gain the experience and knowledge they need to guide riders through every stage of their careers.

“This is a major step forward for BMX racing in the U.S.,” said Jim Miller, chief of sports performance at USA Cycling. “By working with USA BMX, we’re giving riders the best training environment and a clear path from local races all the way to the Olympics.”

This partnership will bring athletes like Alise Willoughby and Cameron Wood to Tulsa, while also attracting major BMX events to the Hardesty National BMX Stadium.

“Since the completion of USA BMX Headquarters and Hall of Fame in February of 2022, Tulsa has been the heart of the USA BMX community, and we are thrilled to extend our hospitality to the USA Cycling BMX Racing National Team as they begin to call our facilities ‘home,’” said B.A. Anderson, chief executive officer of USA BMX. “We are excited to take part in this monumental partnership of elevating the sport of BMX overall.”
