The Lansing Sports Commission has announced the promotion of Miranda Coleman from sports services manager to sports development manager.
In the new role, Coleman will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with sports rights holders, national governing bodies, local facility representatives and the lodging community to solicit, secure and create sporting events for Greater Lansing.
“Miranda brings an unmatched energy to our team, always radiating positivity, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude that lifts us all,” said Meghan Ziehmer, executive director of the Lansing Sports Commission. “She exemplifies the dedication and care that drives our success, and I know she will thrive in this new role.”
Coleman works on-site at events helping to market, problem solve and ensure event success. Coleman is a Lansing native, having graduated from Lansing Everett High School and played on their back-to-back state championship girls’ basketball teams. Both of her 2000 and 2001 teams were inducted into the class of 2022 Greater Lansing Sports Hall of Fame.
