INSIDE TRACK
The Fédération Internationale du Sport Universitaire has launched the bidding procedure for the 2020 FISU World University Championships. Unlike the organization’s Universiade event, the WUCs are multiple single-sport events. But in 2020, the season will also include proposed sports clusters for events, with several events staged in one location such as combat sports (boxing, karate, Muay Thai, sambo, wrestling and wushu) and mind sports (chess, bridge, etc.). FISU member associations interested in bidding should fill out a letter of intention and send it to championships@fisu.net for more information.
